Internet Explorer 9 isn’t due out until mid September, but Microsoft Russia have got a bit excited and posted a screen shot of IE9’s user interface. The screen shot has been confirmed as genuine.

Microsoft has announced that it plans to release the public Beta of IE9 on the 15th of September.

Microsoft has been working hard on Internet Explorer 9, releasing 3 IE9 previews. Each one being an improvement on the last. Microsoft has revealed a new download manager in an early IE9 build.

Microsoft recently released it’s third preview of IE9. It’s coming close to it’s first beta release and is showing allot of promise. IE9 looks to be a strong competitor in the browser wars. Reports are out that Microsoft will release Internet Explorer 9 platform preview 3 later today.
This preview will include support for the HTML5 video tag. Microsoft demoed IE9 against Safari earlier in the month, it’s expected that updated HTML5 tests will be posted to it’s test drive site later today.

Microsoft may have dropped a big hint via way of a hotfix, that IE9 beta will be coming soon.

Apple recently released Safari 5, and Microsoft have responded by demoing IE9’s hardware acceleration abilities.

Microsoft is pulling out all the plugs with IE9, they are certainly working hard towards making it the top browser. Early tests of the browser have been very promising, moving towards being fully HTML5 and CSS3 compliant.
